I had my second esperanto lesson, and i'm super glad i keep that rolling on, i think once i'll get a better level i'll try to write some.

I got a lot more questions than on my first lesson, because i finished my notebook in between the two i didn't have any notes ready to help me. I had only what i memorized from ikurso and what i remembered from the first lesson.

suko is juice, we got asked Kion via deziras trinki?" and maybe deziras (wish/present) is a bit much we could use volas (want/present)

and following to that i could answer:
"jes mi deziras trinki pomo sukon" but also i've learned pomsukon should be right? but also i have now a question what about pomosukono? it should be even better

Then we talked about opposite words such as
Varma / malvarma (hot and cold)
There's no unique word for cold. malvarma is mal+varma ((not or opposite to)(hot))

in the same way you have:
malvarmeta opposed to varmeta which means chilly (little opposite to hot) opposed to warm (little hot).

We learned a super long word!
Mi malvarmumas. Meaning "i have a cold"

article reading

We read an article in esperanto, it was really hard to understand! But we went through each sentence bit by bit. The article was from La Informilo n°209 and the article was called "Vojaĝo al Koreio kaj Japaio (oktrobro-novembro 2024)" and written by "Lore kaj Ĵoel"

It was really interesting to see a piece of paper which isn't the learning book all written in esperanto! I genuinely loved the exercise and asked our instruisto where i can find those fine booklets and news papers.

The article was about Lore (Laure) and Ĵoel (Joel prenounced djoel) and their voyage in South Korea and Japan for an esperanto congress.

In this article we met a very interesting way of writing. That sentence still tickles my brain!
"Tuj post nia alveno en Seŭlo, akceptis nin pluraj esperantistoj, kiuj proponis vizitadon al la urbo, piediradon sur la ĉirkaŭajn montojn."

Especially this part: "akceptis nin pluraj esperantistoj"

Which could be translated: "Immediately after our arrival in Seoul, welcomed by multiple esperantists, who proposed us a long visit of the city, hiking on the nearest mounts."

akceptis (to accept (past)) nin (we (complement to subject)) pluraj (several (multiple)) esperantistoj (esperanto (noun (plural)))

Also the affix -ad- that inducing a continual action in time. And -n ending which refer to direct object. I'm not sure i'll be able to get that right for the next time but until then, i understood it a little.

The last thing in this sentence was montojn. which is mounts(accusative). Mounts are montoj and mountains are montaroj.

One of the people present made a comment about i learned about 'who are the esperantists. And brought something i wasn't even thinking. The prefix Ge- which mean all genders. So when you speak about a group you can including everyone by putting Ge-

In the paper they always wrote esperantistoj which if you want to be overly specific means 'esperanto speaker male multiple'. If you wanna say 'esperanto speakers female multiple' you say esperantistinoj then for 'all genders esperanto speakers' its gesperantistoj. But now talking about it, i'm not completly clear with the affix -ar- meaning a group.

Instead of esperantistoj or gesperantistoj write esperantistaro could have been correct aswell?

We finished with dictation! We had the first paragraph of the article. It was really interesting and i really wish to make more diktaĵo. Unlike other people present, who mostly are teachers or former teachers with a better understanding of esperanto i did a lot of errors. I did 9 errors.

• Vizitis takes a z, not a singular s. I understood why i did that error.
• Koreion & Japanion (twice) eion/anion is not ejon/njon
• I missed few words, like de, kaj, de again.
• i miss wrote ĵus i thought hearing ĝus.

I really had fun at this 2nd lesson of esperanto, and i want more! I ask about more written documents in esperanto especially newsletters and such, i think i'm gonna fully get in. Until then,
