Mobility Page - Skates

Intro

Hello on the skate list page. I'm not a huge-huge rollerskater, i mostly a late bloomer on those, that's also why you will not see expensive pair for now. I've learnt to skate young around 6 with adjustable rollerskate and then i also had inlines skates around 8 or 9 years old. I wasn't much a rollerperson. I got back to it around 2017-2018

Rollerskates

The plan was to learn to ride again, to get myself out of my room with some activity i can do alone and outside. Due to an accident the second time i got them out i have weird trauma but i still like to ride them few times. I'm a really slow learner in them. I tested few roller derby training in them. They are low cut and they don't hurt at all if you have flat feet issues/wide feet. They were also the cheapest pair i could get in 2017. I didn't read any review before getting them.

  • Inline Rollerskates

My babies! The MF500 Skates. Got them in 2021, because i felt frustrated with Quad, being traumatized and feeling that i don't progressed for a while. I'm a nice client at the local Decathlon. I found few mixed reviews on reddit about those but i decide to see for myself, tried them in the shop. I had to take it online because i wanted those with the discount (old color scheme). I also got a second pair i bought second hand but newest color scheme (in black/white and yellow), i left it at a friend's flat.

    More Details

The pair is sold with a heelbrake not mounted on the pic. Also i had hard time to break in those due to the shock absorber. It putted my feet in a rather complicated angle for me. My heel was too high for the rest of my feet. i removed the shock absorber and put extra soles in the liner.

    Ice Skates

Bought them to prepare the winter. I want snow ice and cold weather. I never really learned ice skating so i bought a second hand hockey skates on classified ad website according to the seller it was old hockey ice skates. I tried them at the local ice rink. the boot is fairly flat like hockey skates but the inside is less padded than modern skates, the boot is really rigid compared to newer models. They probably need shaping and some treatement. Nonetheless it's one of the best investment i did for learning. I bought them 10€ (initially 5, but i added 5 more because the seller came to me instead of sending them)
