5x6 ortholinear maximalist macropad
Version 1
Really simple grid intended for Pimironi Tiny2040 but also for Seeed XIAO RP2040.
Used all my current skills of KiCAD and FreeCAD for it. I must admit i wanted it to be the first keyboard build that not use proprietary software.
What i used:
Used | For: |
KiCAD | Electrical schematics & PCB Drawing |
Inkscape | 2D drawings |
FreeCAD | Case designing using pcb sizing and Inkscape SVGs |
Scribus, Gimp, Mypaint, Tiddlywiki | all extras stuff, such as documentation and the paper documentation that come with the board |
As all my keyboard build this board comes with KMK as keyboard firmware. It uses CircuitPython.
Enclosure Design
I pushed out my limits on FreeCAD and also used some workbenches i usually don't use that much. Design wise it's a little stacked 2 parts case, all part should align nicely without any use of additional parts
