Intro

Welcome on the technical infos regarding to arts.
I love many things like playing instruments, making videos and also drawing silly things. Here's what i use in details.

Drawing & Graphics

Pen & paper were my first love, i learned to draw by myself, then i got caught in manga style. And got tired of it before beginning my first diploma. I had mechanical pens in school, because it was more precise so, i basically ever drawn with it. I still draw with it. When i was 12 years old i got a pen tablet, so i also learned to use it. I still got it and work with it. Then i got an iPad Pro as gift in 2021. I use both.

Here a list of software i've known along the way and few details.

for drawing purposes

Software used Status Details
GIMP

I used it as drawing software a long time ago, was pretty much one of the first i used after MS Paint. Nowdays i use it for post-processing.

Krita

I began to use Krita from the first stable release. I always use it as complement to MyPaint

MS Paint (winXP) 🧽

Because i know it so well, and i love the simplicity of it. I still use it as complement to Aseprite

Procreate

The only drawing app on iPad. Got it as gift. but I paid for the pencil.

Mypaint

The best drawing software ever made. I use it since 21/10/2012.
Yeah Krita is nice BUT MYPAINT, OMG. 🥰

extended list of software

Also here the other software that falls in Graphics theme

Software used Status Details
Inkscape

I try my best at replacing what i learn in class. And i try hard because i love vector graphics

Adobe Illustrator 🧽

I really know the whereabouts of it because it was taught in class. (the real deal). I still use it when i being frustrated with Inkscape workflow.

Aseprite

I hope you really like the little buttons of this website because i've made them with Aseprite. I bought it because i wanted to discover and try pixel art and pixel art animations. I use it only with that purpose.

Adobe InDesign 🧽

I love publishing stuff, i love to make documents and that's how i first learn to make paper documents. And it was also a core software of my studies. I still have it but i try my best to replace it.

Scribus 🧽

A replacement for InDesign with a totally different workflow

Autodesk Sketchbook 🧽

The 2nd must have app for iPad, the sketchbook.

Blender

Because 3D was my 2nd love in graphics. I love sculpting and rig my little stuff. But i've lost some of my passion. But Blender brought it back.

Nomad Sculpt

The 3D sculpting app for iPad. I love it. It helps with Blender.

I used to have drawing and painting classes in my studies. I've learned a lot from books too. I really like to drawing creatures and characters in digital painting and i really enjoy painting landscapes, portrait and mostly surfaces details on traditionnal painting (surfaces because of my studies, i enjoyed it so much). When i was younger i had a DeviantART. I did unpaid commissions in my early twitter days. I also still have a outdated Tumblr blog with only unfinished drawings. All the exemples used here are from this blog.

Video

I can do this too. I don't do much but i've learned to use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effect when i was in uni and before that i loved to use Windows Movie Maker with super edgy songs. Nowdays i've used Shotcut, DaVinci, VSDC, newer versions of Premiere Pro and my endgame is KDEnLive. I love it so much, i want to do more videos to use it more.

Streaming is another activity i also do. i talked a little of some details of it in Roulette under the tag "streaming, owncast". I also have a twitch channel but i'm not streaming on it often. I stream from my Owncast Server. Owncast is basically a FOSS live video and web chat server for use with any broadcast software such as OBS.

I usually record of few gaming sessions, did few speed painting/drawing vids, or making little musical edits with weird mashup videos. I know to make videos with the software but i don't do much of IRL videos. I found a cool Peertube instance to show y'all my videos. Peertube is basically a Federated FOSS youtube.
⚠️ I have a backlog because i have to import my videos to Peertube.

Music

I love playing music even if i'm not very good at it. I have a tiny bit of musical education but clearly not enough to read sheet music and i never been in a music school.
quite sad, i know. I mostly learn by seeing and listen people playing and for some i bought books

Instruments Details
Recorder Flute

It was the basic school instrument but i really loved it after being taught in school

Bass Guitar

Fell in love with it, and got one as a gift. A Ibanez Jumpstart because all the japanese players in the rock groups i always listened when i was younger had Ibanez basses, i still got it and play it weekly. I also bought second hand a Aria Pro II bass.

Clarinet

Because i love oboe sound i wanted to learn something near and with a cheap entry point. I got myself a Clarineo a C clarinet in PVC for kids. And i suck at it, as many beginners i have hard time with the embouchure. I really love it but i don't play it weekly.

Modular Synthesizer
& MIDI Keyboard

I know few things about modular synthesizers. I use the MIDI Keyboard as interface but not always. I really enjoy plug cables and wait.

Electric Guitar

Beginner that's too attached to bass and make silly comments that only bass player do.

More about it

You can find me playing Rocksmith on live and cool modular synth video around

Other forms of art

I take few pictures, with 2 analog cameras: Canon EOS 1000, Konica Pop.
I didn't talked about my wild passion about printing, i do linocut, stamps and some light bookbinding.
